Two aerospace faculty named AIAA associate fellows

Jack Langelaan, assistant professor of aerospace engineering, and Alok Sinha, professor of mechanical engineering, were named American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) associate fellows among the class of 2011.

To be selected as an AIAA associate fellow, an individual must be an AIAA senior member with at least 12 years of experience in his or her field. The individual also must be recommended by at least three current associate fellows

Langelaan and Sinha will be honored with 184 others from across the United States at the AIAA Associate Fellows Dinner on Jan. 4, 2011, in Orlando, Fla. The dinner is part of the 49th AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting.
