Mosaic 2010 delights audience

December 06, 2010

University Park, Pa. -- Eisenhower Auditorium is home to many School of Music performances each year, but perhaps the most unusual is the annual Mosaic concert, which took place on Sunday, Dec. 5. Featuring 20 of the school's best ensembles, soloists and groups, the Mosaic event presented a unique concert experience for those in attendance, as big band jazz was followed by voices ringing out from the balcony, and music from percussion trios, woodwind quintets and solo clarinets flowed in between orchestral pieces and brass ensembles. Several hundred School of Music students were involved in the event, which is organized jointly by the school and the Center for the Performing Arts.
