Neiman Marcus runway fashion show raises $65,000

The Neiman Marcus “Giving is Always in Fashion” Show and Luncheon raised a record-breaking $65,000 for Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. More than 300 people attended the event on Friday, Dec. 3 at The Hotel Hershey. Kim Lemon of WGAL-TV8 served as the emcee. The event featured a runway fashion show, a luncheon and raffles.

The money raised from the event will specifically support The Hummingbird Program at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. The Hummingbird Program was founded in May 2007 thanks to a generous financial contribution from Jeanne Donlevy Arnold and Ed Arnold of Lebanon. The program, which relies heavily on philanthropic support, is a consultative service that provides comprehensive medical, emotional, social and spiritual support for children who are facing life-threatening, complex medical conditions. Nicole Hahnlen, the clinical program coordinator for the Hummingbird Program, was this year’s featured speaker.

“Because of your generosity, I have had the opportunity to advocate for many children and families, to join them in celebration of successes, to encourage through difficult moments, and to grieve with them through painful losses. Because of you, this support will continue to touch many of the amazing children and families we serve at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. It is on their behalf and on mine that I want to say thank you,” said Hahnlen. Since 2008, the Neiman Marcus “Giving is Always in Fashion” show has raised $175,000 for The Hummingbird Program.

Children’s Miracle Network would like to thank the businesses and individuals who sponsored the event, including the event’s top sponsors, Jeanne Donlevy Arnold and Ed Arnold, Bruderman & Associates and The Hershey Company.
