Penn State students Matt Kweller, Jennifer Maloney and Melissa Thomas have been selected by IES Abroad to blog about their study abroad experiences in Buenos Aires, Dublin and London during spring semester 2011. They are among 31 students chosen from a pool of more than 200 who applied to blog about their experiences abroad.
A junior at Penn State, Jennifer Maloney is majoring in crime, law and justice. She is studying in the law and sociology departments at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland during spring semester. Maloney is looking forward to studying in the capital city of Ireland and learning the differences in the criminal justice systems of the U.S. and Ireland. In her junior year at Penn State, Melissa Thomas is majoring in public relations and minoring in international studies and sociology. She is studying abroad at City University in London, England. She is a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Thomas hopes to gain a deeper understanding of England’s history while meeting locals and traveling throughout the country.
