Architectural engineering seminar to discuss micro-organism dispersal

Mohammad Heidarinejad, a doctoral student in architectural engineering, will present the next installment of the Architectural Engineering Seminar Series at noon on Feb. 11 in 107 Engineering Unit B on Penn State's University Park campus.

Heidarinejad's presentation is titled "Computational fluid dyamics as a tool to predict performance in upper-room ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UR-UVGI) disinfection systems."

Heidarinejad's work focuses on using computational fluid dynamics to better understand the dispersal patterns of airborne microorganisms and how to disinfect indoor environments.

The seminar is free and open to the public.
