SPA concert features two bands

February 08, 2011

Hundreds of students packed into Alumni Hall of the HUB-Robeson Center on Monday, Feb. 7, for a Student Programming Association-sponsored concert featuring cover band Go Go Gadjet and headlining ska punk band Streetlight Manifesto.

Sponsorship by the Student Programming Association (SPA) allowed the concert to be free for Penn State students with valid student identification, while general admission tickets were $5.

SPA works throughout the year to plan activities and programming to supplement students' college co-curricular experiences. The association's work is seen weekly in the HUB LateNight activities, facilitated in conjunction with the Division of Student Affairs. The organization's next headlining event in its Distinguished Speaker Series will occur on Tuesday, Feb. 22, in Eisenhower Auditorium, featuring famed football coach Herman Boone.
