Business faculty members co-author paper for journal

Talha Harcar, associate professor of business, and Daniel W. Smith, instructor in business, have co-authored a paper, "How Does Color Effect Perceived Attributes of New Food Products? The Case of Gatorade in Morocco" which will appear in April in the Business Research Yearbook, "Global Business Perspectives," Vol. XVIII, a publication of the International Business Academy of Business Disciplines.

Harcar received the 2010 Penn State Beaver Advisory Board Faculty Excellence in Research Award, and Smith received the board’s 2010 Faculty Excellence in Service Award.

Harcar holds a doctorate in business administration, and a master’s degree and two bachelor’s degrees in marketing from Istanbul University. He also holds an master of business administration degree from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. Smith received a master’s degree in management and policy analysis and a bachelor’s degree in public policy and management and German from Carnegie Mellon University.
