Shop at Kohl's Department Stores and support the Children's Hospital

Have you ever visited your local Kohl’s Department Store and noticed the children’s books and plush characters near the checkout? These items are part of the Kohl’s Cares cause merchandise program, which supports Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.

This spring, Kohl’s is featuring the classic story books from legendary children’s author and illustrator, Eric Carle. Each book and its coordinating plush characters, along with a very “sweet” cookbook, are available now through April 29 for $5 at local Kohl’s stores.

Since the inception of the Kohl’s Cares merchandise program in 2000, Kohl’s has turned $5 merchandise into more than $150 million to help make a positive difference in the lives of children. Since 2006, Kohl’s has donated more than $699,000 to Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital to support the Kohl’s Healthy Choices for Healthy Families program.

The program is designed to educate families about the importance of good nutrition and active living and includes the delivery of an after-school program in 10 local elementary schools, educational exhibits at family-focused events, television spots, print and web ad campaign, and website (kohlshealthyfamilies.org) with free downloadable resources for families.

Purchase these items for the child or children in your life and help support other children in need of the clinical expertise offered by pediatricians and physicians at the Children’s Hospital.
