Mohsen Kavehrad, the W.L. Weiss Chair Professor of Electrical Engineering, has been named a scientific advisory board member for the National Science Foundation Smart Lighting Engineering Research Center (ERC).
Kavehrad will advise the center's leadership on the technical strengths and weaknesses of ERC's strategic plan.
A member of the Penn State faculty since 1997, Kavehrad is the founding director of the Center for Information and Communications Technology Research at the University.
