Student research symposium set for April 5

The 2011 College of Engineering Research Symposium (CERS) will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 5 at the Nittany Lion Inn on Penn State's University Park campus.

The eighth annual event, sponsored by the Engineering Graduate Student Council, is free and open to the public. CERS is designed to allow undergraduate and graduate students to showcase their research to faculty, industry representatives, fellow students and the general public.

This year's CERS will feature a keynote address by Al Brockett, vice president of engineering for Pratt & Whitney Module Centers, and a professional networking reception with Penn State faculty and industry representatives.
