Penn State's Office of Human Resources has announced a special, one-time enrollment opportunity for long-term disability insurance and annuity premium benefit coverage, from March 28 to April 8. Those who sign up during this special enrollment period will be guaranteed acceptance and will not be required to prove that they are in good health. No action is required for employees who already are enrolled in both long-term disability insurance and the annuity benefit plan.
The insurance, which helps to protect employees by ensuring they have adequate income protection in the event they become disabled by injury or illness, is being offered at lower rates than before.
