'Requiem' a sellout at Eisenhower

A record crowd of 2,100 people witnessed the latest large-scale production by the School of Music on Saturday, April 2, as nearly 400 student musicians were joined by four professional soloists for a performance of Guiseppe Verdi's "Requiem" in Eisenhower Auditorium. Those on stage for the 90-minute masterpiece included the Penn State Philharmonic Orchestra and members of multiple University choral ensembles as well soloists Eleni Calenos, Penn State alumna Amanda Siliker, Eduardo Villa and Hector Vasquez, with conducting by Penn State professor Gerardo Edelstein.
