WPSU announces Comcast 'video on demand' schedule for late April

Comcast cable will offer several shows produced by Penn State Public Broadcasting on its Video on Demand service in the coming weeks.

Available through May 9: “Libyan Weather,” (2011). A geography/meteorology trek across North Africa and the Middle East, with a focus on Libya and Lebanon.

Available from April 17 to May 16: “Ben Feller,” (2011). As chief White House correspondent for the Associated Press, Ben Feller has enjoyed front-row access to two U.S. presidents and covered every aspect of their political agendas. Feller discusses how he made the jump from central Pennsylvania to the White House and what it’s like to shadow the president.

Available from April 19 to May 2: “Portion Control,” (2006). Lack of portion control on our plates is the biggest culprit of weight gain. But how do you know when enough is enough? Hear Dr. John Messmer give tips on how to control portions.

Available April 19 to May 16: “Nest Boxes,” (2006). Have you ever wanted a pet bird? This year you can attract songbirds like the house wren to your backyard. Watch to learn how to construct a nest box and make a home for these birds.

Available from April 19 to May 2: “TV Quarterbacks,” (1979). Travel back 30 years to watch Joe Paterno talk Penn State football. Hear what the coach had to say about the 1979 game versus Temple.
