Penn State employees can apply for dependent tuition discount online

University Park, Pa. -- Finance and Business has launched a new service that allows employees to electronically apply for the Penn State Grant-In-Aid tuition discount for their eligible dependents.

The new electronic service can be found in the Employee Self Service Information Center (ESSIC) under the Benefits tab, and will require employees to have their dependent’s student ID in order to complete the process. The electronic form, as well as information about employee and dependent eligibility, also can be found on the Office of Human Resources website at http://ohr.psu.edu/benefits/additional-benefits/tuition-reimbursement#forms online.

The intuitive, Web-based form allows the submitter to complete the application quickly and efficiently. Employees will be notified once their request has been approved by Employee Benefits. Requests for all Penn State campuses as well as Penn College can be submitted through the new online system.

The electronic tuition discount service has been developed through a cooperative effort of the Office of Human Resources and the Controller’s Office with team members from the Employee Benefits Division and the Bursar’s Office.
