The State College Police Department continues to investigate these two separate aggravated assault incidents that occurred early Saturday morning in the downtown area. The first assault occurred on the 200 block of Highland Avenue behind the fraternities between Pugh Street and Locust Lane. This took place at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Two white males dressed in formal attire of dark sport jackets and white button up shirts were the persons who assaulted two victims. These two suspects were with a group of about 10 people and fled south on the 200 block of Sough Pugh Street after the assault.

The second assault occurred about 50 minutes later, at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, April 23, in front of the Glennland Building at 205 East Beaver Ave. The victim was assaulted by two or three tall white males. There also was a white female with these males. One of the suspects was wearing a long-sleeve white shirt.

Both of these assaults resulted in serious injuries to the victims.
