Penn State, Germany's University of Freiburg celebrate partnership

Penn State officially expanded its Global Engagement Network with Germany's University of Freiburg on May 6, at a signing ceremony on the University Park campus. In the photo above, Penn State President Graham Spanier, left, gestures during the signing ceremony conducted with Hans-Jochen Schiewer, rector of the University of Freiburg. The official agreement formalizes the relationship between the two universities as mutual strategic partners in research, teaching and student education.
