Child Development Laboratory reunion to be held June 11

University Park, Pa. -- The Child Development Laboratory (CDL) at Penn State is holding a family reunion from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 11, in the CDL facility located at S-24 Henderson Building South on the University Park campus. The purpose of the reunion is to reflect on days past and present as the laboratory permanently shuts its doors and prepares to move to the new Gary Schultz Child Care Center at Hort Woods.

The CDL invites present and former children who have attended the laboratory, as well as their families, to attend the event. CDL teachers, student workers, administrators and members of the community also are invited to attend. Organizers ask that attendees bring photos, documents and stories to help in the creation of a memory book.

Photographs will be taken at 3:30 p.m. and a special presentation to Edna Bennett Pierce, the laboratory’s “Play Patron,” also will take place at that time. Organizers of the event will serve cake and ice cream from the Penn State Creamery.
