Electrical engineering alumni group wins award

The Penn State Electrical Engineering Society (PSEES) Affiliate Program Group (APG) has been selected to receive the 2011 Penn State Alumni Association Award for Young Alumni Involvement.

The Alumni Association recognized the APG for its EE Early Career Recognition Award, which is given to electrical engineering alumni who have graduated within the past 10 years and who have demonstrated outstanding technical excellence as an individual resulting in significant accomplishments; shown great potential for continued success in their field; and have demonstrated strong leadership in their profession.

The group will receive the award along with a $500 grant towards future programming at the Alumni Association's Volunteer Awards ceremony in October.

PSEES promotes fellowship and communication among the alumni, faculty and students of the electrical engineering department in order to work for the improvement of the department and the College.
