University Park campus comes alive as students return

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Students and their converged upon Penn State's University Park campus on Aug. 19 for the start of move-in days. Welcome Week volunteers were visible throughout campus all day long, ready to assist students who were moving their belongings into their residence hall rooms. Auxiliary police also were out in force to help guide families to the proper parking areas to unload their cars in each of the residence hall areas. Although her son is a freshman, he already knows someone on Penn State's University Park campus, as his cousin is moving into a different residence hall in East Halls. Credit: Annemarie Mountz / Penn StateCreative Commons
