Penn State Beaver student featured in latest issue of The Penn Stater

Penn State Beaver senior communications major Amy Green was featured in the September/October 2011 edition of The Penn Stater magazine. "We Know What They Did Last Summer" highlighted summer internships held by Green and eight other Penn State students chosen from a variety of Penn State locations.

Green spent her summer working with penguins at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium where she helped clean exhibits, bathe and feed the animals, monitored penguin eggs for hatching, and conducted tours for the public.

When she began her freshman year at Beaver campus, Green was enrolled as an animal science major but quickly learned she was better suited to work directly with animals and people on a daily basis.

In addition to being a full-time student, Green has been employed off campus as well as by the Beaver Admissions Office, Student Affairs Office, and Development Office. Her ultimate goal after graduation is to work in the education department of a zoo.

Green, a native of Spotsylvania, Va., currently resides in Monaca, Pa. She can be contacted at aig5089@psu.edu.
