September 27, 2011

Following their successful summer tour, former Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, along with their band, Furthur, will continue their musical adventure this fall with a stop at Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center at 7 p.m. on Nov. 15. Fans can expect Lesh and Weir to push the musical envelope with improvisations and loving renditions of Grateful Dead classics, with an all-star band that includes keyboardist Jeff Chimenti (RatDog), drummer Joe Russo (Benevento - Russo Duo, Trey Anastasio), guitarist John Kadlecik (Dark Star Orchestra), and vocalists Sunshine Becker and Jeff Pehrson.

The show is designed for new and old fans of the Grateful Dead alike, as Lesh and Weir take their musical journey “furthur,” exploring some of the Grateful Dead’s most-beloved songs. Tickets are on sale now. Tickets cost $43 and $55, and can be purchased at the Bryce Jordan Center Box Office, online at www.bjc.psu.edu, or by phone at (814) 865-5555.
