Free online streaming of PSPB's 'Telling Amy's Story' in October

October is national Domestic Violence Awareness Month and studies show that thousands of women are affected by this issue on a local and statewide level.

In an effort to support domestic violence prevention, “Telling Amy’s Story,” a documentary created by Penn State Public Broadcasting about domestic violence, will be available online for free during the month of October at telling.psu.edu online.

"Telling Amy’s Story," which premiered in the fall of 2010, narrates the events leading to State College resident Amy Homan McGee’s tragic death in 2001, when she was shot and killed by her husband.

The documentary also will air on WPSU-TV at 9 p.m. on Oct. 6 and 6 p.m. on Oct. 16.
