PSU Day events are free and open to the public

Penn State Beaver will celebrate PSU Day Friday, Oct. 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22 with a variety of events that are free and open to the public.

The schedule of events follows:

Friday, Oct. 21

Students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to wear their blue and white gear.
A bonfire will be held at dusk near Harmony Hall.

Saturday, Oct. 22

9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Admissions Office Open House
Prospective students and their families will tour campus, meet with counselors and learn about Penn State’s academic programs.

Noon to 3 p.m. – Campus Carnival – on Lion Shrine lawn or if rain, in gym
Student organizations will sponsor booths as well as inflatable games and novelty attractions. Students also will have cotton candy, kettle corn and much more.

4 p.m. – Alumni vs. Varsity Basketball Game – in gym
Find out if the Beaver men’s varsity team can keep their winning streak going when they go up against Penn State alumni in this very competitive game.

5:30 p.m. – Cornhole Tournament – Harmony Hall
Come out to watch or participate in the tournament and find out who will take the championship.

7 p.m. – Blue and White Tailgate / Nittany Lions vs. Northwestern Wildcats – Harmony Hall
All are welcome to attend this free tailgate that features many of your favorite stadium foods. Join us as we watch the Lions take on the Wildcats in Evanston, Ill.
