Adult Literacy Action (ALA) of Penn State Beaver will host a free Tutor Training Workshop for one-on-one tutors and classroom aides from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26 and Thursday, Oct. 27, at CareerLink, Beaver Valley Mall.
Staff members will provide an overview of the program with emphasis on how to prepare students for the GED Test. Upon completion of this workshop, volunteer tutors will either be placed in a classroom as an aide or with an individual student.
