Philadelphia artist Tim Eads to talk Nov. 9 at Palmer Museum of Art

Tim Eads, a Philadelphia artist, will give a free public lecture about his varied conceptual sculptures, machines, prints and other works at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, in the Palmer Lipcon Auditorium, Palmer Museum of Art, on the Penn State University Park campus. To quote Eads, “it will quickly deteriorate into discussions about how to take over the world with bubble machines, covered wagons and other wacky mechanisms.” Eads’ lecture is sponsored by the Penn State School of Visual Arts John M. Anderson Visiting Artists and Scholars Lecture Series.

Originally from Texas, Eads is currently a project technician and printer at the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia. He received his bachelor of fine arts degree from Texas Tech University, and his master of fine arts degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan, and has recently exhibited at galleries in Philadelphia, Princeton, Atlanta, Detroit and Los Angeles.
