In celebration of International Education Week (Nov. 14 to 18), the University Libraries will display a selection of books by international authors in the Reading Room, housing the Leisure Reading Collection, on the first floor of Pattee Library. The display, titled "Read Around the World," features English translations of books by popular authors, including bestselling Nordic crime writers Stieg Larsson and Mankell Henning, Turkish author Orhan Pamuk (winner of the 2006 Nobel Prize for Literature), Japanese writer Haruki Murakami and others. For more information and a list of titles that will be featured in the display, go to the Leisure Reading Blog, http://goodreadspsu.blogspot.com/.

International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education and is held to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. Other events include a free screening of the film "Home" by Yann Arthus-Bertrand on November 15, at 7 p.m., in Foster Auditorium, first floor, Paterno Library, and two Humphrey Fellow Country Presentations at noon on Nov. 16, also in Foster Auditorium. The country presentations will feature Brazil and Slovenia.
