College Of Ag Sciences Students Receive Internship Awards

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Eight Penn State students have been selected as College of Agricultural Sciences Alumni Society 2005 Internship Award winners. The award, which includes a $500 stipend, was established to encourage students to enroll in internship courses offered within the College of Agricultural Sciences.

"The Alumni Society recognizes the importance of on-the-job learning experience to prepare undergraduates for today's competitive job market," says Jillian Stevenson, the college's director of alumni relations. "By working as interns, students can establish networks of professional contacts and discover what areas of specialization appeal to them."
