Great Valley campus starts 'Penn Staters against Child Abuse' campaign

In response to recent allegations against Penn State, Penn State Great Valley has initiated, “Penn Staters against Child Abuse,” a campaign to raise donations for and build awareness of child abuse prevention efforts. Aligning with the Exchange Club Family Center, a nationwide network of child abuse centers with an office situated in Family Service of Chester County in West Chester, Pa., the campus community raised $440 and recently presented the donation to Voni Moore Mastovich, director of the center. In addition to continued financial assistance, Penn State Great Valley has pledged to support the center’s abuse prevention efforts and awareness campaign.

“Under the direction and inspiration of Penn State President Rodney Erickson, the campus community has responded by reaching out to those most affected by this tragedy -- the victims,” said Chancellor Craig Edelbrock. “In a small, yet significant way, our campus hopes to restore the integrity, honor and pride that have always characterized Penn State.” For more information or to make a donation, send an email to pas50@psu.edu.
