Penn State health resources available on Facebook and Twitter

Penn State students can access health tips, local resources and events through three new social media outlets. Healthy Penn State (HPS) is now available on Facebook and Twitter. Students will find weekly health tips and other resources to help them get and stay healthy while attending Penn State. University Health Services (UHS) has also launched a Facebook page where students can find information about services, events and resources.

“Maintaining good health during college can help students achieve academically,” stated Linda LaSalle, UHS associate director for educational services. “Students think they don’t have the time to make healthy choices, but these resources can make it easier.” UHS also has launched a bus and poster campaign linking the importance of healthy living and good grades. The posters are available for download on the HPS Facebook page.

Healthy Penn State is an initiative that promotes student health and well being by providing resources for nutrition, physical activity, sleep and stress relief. For more information about Healthy Penn State, visit healthypennstate.psu.edu, follow HPS on Twitter, or become a friend on Facebook.

UHS is a nationally accredited health care service specializing in outpatient student health, outreach, education and volunteer opportunities for Penn State students at the University Park campus. For more information about UHS, visit studentaffairs.psu.edu/health or become a friend on Facebook.
