WBCA Pink Zone 2012 honors breast cancer survivors

For the sixth straight year, Penn State Lady Lions Basketball will host the WBCA Pink Zone - a fundraising event to benefit breast cancer research - on Sunday, Feb. 26 in the Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus of Penn State.

This year’s event will carry on the tradition of honoring breast cancer survivors with a half-time survivor recognition program and post-game survivor reception featuring none other than the Lady Lions.

Survivors will receive a maximum of four free tickets for themselves and family and friends. Additional tickets can be purchased by survivors at a discounted rate of $5 each. Survivors will also receive free transportation from Hershey to the Bryce Jordan Center compliments of Fullington Trailways. Register online at www.GoPSUsports.com/pinkzone.

Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute is one of six beneficiaries of WBCA Pink Zone 2012 at Penn State. In 2011, WBCA Pink Zone donated $53,163 to Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute to establish the Penn State Lady Lion Basketball Endowment.
