The new Child Care Center at Hort Woods on the University Park campus of Penn State is accepting children ages 3 to 5 into its preschool rooms. There currently is a wait list for children to enter the mixed-age (ages 6 weeks to 3 years) infant/toddler rooms.
The center can accommodate up to 170 children in its 21,500-square-foot facility on the corner of Park Avenue and Allen Road, adjacent to the Hort Woods. The unique setting provides an opportunity to teach young children to value, care for, and appreciate the natural environment.
The center contains five classrooms for preschool children, as well as various shared and common play areas, a library, a garden terrace, a nature deck and 21,000 square feet of outdoor play spaces.
