Penn State librarian appointed to editorial board of scholarly journal

Science Librarian John Meier was recently appointed to the editorial board of the scholarly journal Science & Technology Libraries. Science & Technology Libraries covers all aspects of librarianship as it relates to the fields of science, engineering, clinical investigation and agriculture and features original research articles focused on best practices in the management of information resources in these areas.

Editor in chief Tony Stankus, life sciences librarian, science coordinator and professor at the University of Arkansas Libraries, said “while Meier is still relatively new in the profession, this has not slowed him down, with numerous print and electronic publications in science and engineering librarianship already, including as of the next issue, two papers in Science & Technology Libraries.” A preprint of Meier's article “Mathematically Significant: A Review of Awards in Mathematics with Emphasis on the Fields Medal” is available at http://www.personal.psu.edu/jjm38/blogs/meier/fieldsmedal.pdf.
