New York Alumni Town Hall meeting to be streamed

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Alumni who are unable to attend the upcoming town hall-style meetings with Penn State President Rodney Erickson on Jan. 11, 12 and 13 in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and New York City will be able to watch the New York City meeting live on the Internet.

The live program will be streamed from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at http://www.alumnitownhall.psu.edu online. The Alumni Town Hall meetings can be followed on Twitter using the hashtag #PSUdialog.

“We have had an overwhelming response by alumni to attend these meetings,” said Roger L. Williams, executive director of the Penn State Alumni Association. “The meetings filled to capacity very quickly, so we worked with Penn State Public Broadcasting to put together the live streaming so more alumni can watch first-hand the dialogue between President Erickson and our Penn State alumni.”

These Alumni Town Hall meetings are being held as a way to continue President Erickson’s commitment to good communications and his promise to listen to all within the Penn State community, including staff, faculty, students and alumni.

Each of the three Alumni Town Hall Meetings are filled to capacity. All registered participants must bring their confirmation email to be admitted. There will be no walk-ins admitted due to space limitations.
