Fall Study Abroad and Scholarship Deadlines Approaching

The study abroad program and scholarship deadline is Jan. 20 to study abroad this coming fall. Those who have basic questions about study abroad should attend a Study Abroad 101 Session or visit a Education Abroad Peer Adviser. For questions about which program is best, make an appointment with a professional education abroad adviser and speak with an academic adviser. Visit www.global.psu.edu/ea to search study abroad programs.

Study Abroad Return Rally

Students who already have traveled abroad should plan to attend the Study Abroad Return Rally at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, in 410 Boucke Building. Students can receive an academic refresher on grades and transfer credits, learn how to make the most of their study abroad experience back on campus, learn how to get involved internationally on campus, and learn about ways to fulfill scholarship service requirements. Click here to RSVP for the Study Abroad Return Rally. Return students from the last three to four semesters are welcome.

Global Ambassadors host Monthly Study Abroad 101

Penn State's Global Ambassadors (students who have studied abroad) will host seven Study Abroad 101 sessions this spring. Students interested in studying abroad should plan to attend a session. For a full schedule, click here.

Spring 2012 Global Engagement and Leadership Experience (GELE)

International and U.S. students are talking about this fun and thought-provoking global experience. Now on the third semester, GELE is bringing U.S. and international students into small groups bridging the gap, developing cultural leaderships skills, and creating a global Penn State. Click here to learn more or contact Kristin Thomas at klt16@psu.edu. Space is limited; undergraduates and graduates are welcome to apply.
