UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Registration for the Web 2012 Conference at Penn State is now open at http://webconference.psu.edu/. The annual conference, to be held this year on June 11 and 12 at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel on the University Park campus, brings together Web and marketing professionals to share cutting-edge information on design, applications, content strategies, accessibility and more.

This year's conference, "Responsive Design and the Mobile Web," will showcase two internationally known speakers as well as a diverse offering of sessions and workshops.

Luke Wroblewski will kick off the conference with a presentation titled, "Mobile First: Offering Three Key Reasons to Consider Mobile First When Designing Web Products." He was co-founder and chief product officer of Bagcheck (recently acquired by Twitter), an entrepreneur in residence at Benchmark Capital and the chief design architect at Yahoo! Inc.

Ethan Marcotte will begin day two of Web 2012 with his talk, "The Responsive Designer’s Workflow." Marcotte is an independent designer/developer who is passionate about beautiful design, elegant code and the intersection of the two. His book, "Responsive Web Design," describes a new way of designing for the ever-changing Web. A popular speaker, he is also the coauthor of the third edition of Jeffrey Zeldman’s Designing With Web Standards and a contributing writer to Dan Cederholm’s "Handcrafted CSS."

Other Web 2012 attractions include breakout sessions, workshops, poster sessions, book signings and opportunities for networking with a diverse gathering of colleagues and web professionals.
