Trescher Lecture: Will Congress ever fix the SGR formula?

The Penn State Hershey Department of Surgery and the Penn State Hershey Heart and Vascular Institute will co-sponsor the 42nd annual John H. Trescher Lecture at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, in the Junker Auditorium. Robert M. Zwolak, professor of surgery in the Section of Vascular Surgery at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., will present, “Will Congress Ever Fix the SGR Formula? Does it Really Matter?”

Zwolak serves on the American Medical Association/Specialty Society Relative Value Update Committee. He has also served as a member of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Ambulatory Payment Category Panel. He was recently appointed to the newly formed Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), and is the only surgeon on this prestigious body. Zwolak has written and taught extensively in the field of non-invasive vascular diagnostics as well as other areas of vascular surgery and intervention.
