'Coaching and Mentoring for Leaders' is topic of May conference

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Penn State Lehigh Valley Continuing Education is offering a new one-day conference aimed at business leaders. "Best Practices in the Workplace: Coaching and Mentoring for Leaders" will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 19, at the campus in Center Valley. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

The keynote speaker is Angie Pincin, executive coach and founder of Coach People, Inc., who will discuss "Authentic Leaders as Coaches: Leading by Values." During the conference, participants will select two sessions to attend. Session topics include: aligning coaching with business needs; creating a positive workplace; essential skills for effective leaders; coaching skills inventory; communication techniques for mentors and coaches; and linking coaching to performance evaluation.
