Montour High School wins Science Challenge at Beaver

Montour High School won the 17th annual Penn State Beaver/Midwestern Pennsylvania Association of Science Teachers (MidPAST) Science Challenge held on campus earlier this month. The second place team was from New Brighton High School, and the third place team was from South Side High School. The event drew a total of 32 students from eight area high schools.

All winners received a gift card from the Beaver Valley Mall.

First-place winners Celine Colbert and Brittni Walters each received a $100 gift card. The faculty adviser was Tina Frank. Second-place winners A.J. Vukich and Shane Oxendine each received a $50 gift card. Matt Stuber was the faculty adviser. Ethan Winkle and Jeremiah Humes placed third and each received a $25 gift card. Faculty adviser was Jennifer Satler.

Other participants were from Ambridge, Blackhawk, Ellwood City, Riverside, and Western Beaver High Schools.
