Event set to create buzz about beekeeping

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Penn State Lehigh Valley and the Lehigh Valley Beekeepers Association (LVBA) will present "Naturalistic Beekeeping" from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 23, at the campus in Center Valley.

The event will feature presentations by Ross Conrad, author and naturalist in beekeeping, Diana Cox-Foster, entomology professor at Penn State, and Warren Miller, president of the Pennsylvania State Beekeepers Association. Topics of interest include naturalistic beekeeping, transitioning to organic beekeeping, and overwintering bees and spring management. The presentation is suitable for all levels of beekeepers as well as anyone interested in learning about nature and the environment.
