The Zimmerman Family Love Fund partnered with Dafnos Italian Grille to host the 10th annual Pasta for PALS* dinner. (*PALS denotes People with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS.) This year’s event, held in May, raised more than $9,500 for the ALS Center and Clinic at Penn State Hershey Neuroscience Institute. Funds will help support basic science, translational and clinical research. More than 400 people enjoyed about 100 pounds of pasta, 25 gallons of sauce, salad, beverages, and HERSHEY’S candy bars.

The event is organized by JoAn Zimmerman, director of the Zimmerman Family Love Fund, and is held in loving memory of her late husband Bruce W. Zimmerman, who was a patient at the clinic in 2000. Since its inception, the annual dinner has raised more than $100,000 for ALS research at Penn State Hershey.
