Exploring mindfulness meditation

The University Fitness Center (UFC) at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine has announced a new introductory specialty class -- Mindfulness Meditation with Joshua David O'Brien. The goal of the class is to introduce the basic model of mindfulness and to explore ways of applying it both professionally and personally. Program participants will engage in a range of mindfulness practices and exercises aimed at increasing mind-body awareness, identifying and reducing stress, and gaining new coping skills to manage stress.

Mindfulness Meditation will meet on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for four weeks, July 11 to Aug. 1. Class fee is $50 if paid in advance, $55 if paid the day of the first class. Register today by calling the UFC front desk at 717-531-7075.
