"Jesus Christ Superstar" was recognized as a groundbreaking rock opera that electrified audiences when it opened in 1971. Written by Tony Award winners Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, the show traces the last week in the life of Jesus with a compelling musical score that includes “I Don’t Know How to Love Him,” “King Herod’s Song” and “Superstar.”
