August 24, 2012

The Penn State Beaver Brodhead Cultural Center will close its 36th season of summer programming with a free concert by the Joe Grkman Polka Band at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28, in the J.P. Giusti Amphitheater. The public is invited to attend. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the auditorium of the campus Student Union Building.

The Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association will sell concessions prior to and during the show. In addition, the group will sell Penn State Berkey Creamery ice cream in cups from 6 to 7:30 p.m. prior to the concert. Proceeds from concession and ice cream sales benefit the Alumni Chapter’s scholarships for Beaver campus students.

Co-sponsors of this summer’s programming are The Times, Beaver Valley Musicians Union Local 82-545, and Eat’n Park Hospitality Group, Inc.
