Graduate students present at national management conference

Five graduate students from Penn State Great Valley’s master of leadership development (MLD) program have had their papers accepted for presentation at the national Institute of Behavioral and Applied Management (IBAM) Conference. As part of the MLD program’s “Leadership Models and Methods” course, Kristy Fusco, Gabe Guzman, Rena Minnis, Debbie Mohollen and Pennie Simmons were required to conduct and present a research study. Course instructor, John J. Sosik, professor of management and organization, was impressed by the quality of their paper and presentation, which examines the functions of Baby Boomers and Generation Xers in mentoring relationships. The students submitted the paper to the 2012 IBAM conference and to their delight it was accepted. They will travel to Memphis, Tenn. this October and join national college and university management professors and doctoral students, as well as management practitioners in business, not-for-profit organizations and government.
