Office of Career Services offers new Career Coach program

The Penn State Beaver Office of Career Services announced that it now offers access to a new career assistance program. Gov. Tom Corbett recently unveiled Pennsylvania Career Coach, a first-of-its-kind, statewide, free online tool designed to help Pennsylvania students and job seekers make informed, lasting career choices.

Developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, Career Coach provides updated local employment data such as current and projected job openings, recent job growth areas, estimated earnings and occupations that match a user’s current skills and knowledge, as well as specific educational programs in the local area that will prepare an individual for a given occupation.

For more information about the program, visit www.pacareercoach.org or contact Larissa B. McDoniel Ciuca, Beaver campus student personal and career counselor, at careerservicesbeaver@psu.edu or 724-773-3961, or visit www.beaver.psu.edu and click on Academics.
