UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Engineering Graduate Student Council (EGSC) will be hosting a Call for Abstracts from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 27, in the Kunkle Lounge on the bridge between the Hammond and Sackett buildings. In addition to learning more about participating in the upcoming College of Engineering Research Symposium (CERS), students can also see a presentation from professor Michael Alley titled “Making Presentations and Delivering a Poster.” At CERS, students will be able to showcase research to a diverse audience of Penn State engineering/science faculty, students and industry representatives, and obtain feedback. Students will also be able to compete for research/travel grants, totaling $5,000, for the Best Graduate/Undergraduate Paper/Poster.

To participate in CERS, students must submit an abstract (maximum 150 words) for a paper and/or poster via the CERS 2013 website by Jan. 10. Papers are due March 1; posters are due Mach 16.

CERS 2013 will be held April 2 at the Nittany Lion Inn.
