The Penn State Beaver Office of Student Affairs and the Health Center hosted the 18th annual Health Fair on Nov. 14 in the Student Union Building. Several hundred students, faculty and staff participated.
A variety of free screenings, demonstrations and information were offered. The event included vision, cholesterol and blood-sugar screenings; massages; yoga and CPR demonstrations; and information on drug and alcohol abuse awareness and mental health awareness.
A Nittany Auction was held for participants. Area businesses and organizations donated gifts totaling $1,000, including gift cards for restaurants, gift shops, photography studios, coffee shops, hotels and health organizations. Twenty students, five staff members and one faculty member received gifts.
