Volunteers needed to lead weight loss group

Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s Dr. Jennifer Kraschnewski, of the Division of Internal Medicine, is looking for a way to incorporate volunteer-led weight loss groups for patients. Volunteers are needed for this research study.

Volunteers must be 21 to 65 years old, have had at least 10 percent weight loss of maximum body weight and kept it off for a year (pregnancy excluded). They must have no history of or scheduled surgery for weight loss.

If selected for the study, volunteers will participate in a 90-minute focus group at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and complete a demographic questionnaire. Compensation is provided.

This research study, IRB 40435, has been approved by the Institutional Review Board, under federal regulations at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Penn State College of Medicine.
