Amy Lengauer from Stoneboro, Pa., was chosen as this year’s Heart of Shenango Scholarship recipient. Lengauer, who is the daughter of Mike and Peggy Lengauer,  is currently majoring in business management/marketing at the Shenango campus.

During high school at Lakeview, Lengauer played volleyball for four years, was secretary of the Student Council and was the boys’ baseball manager for two years.

She is currently working at the Boot Box in Grove City, is a member of the campus’ Business Club, and participates in THON and intramural sports. Outside of school and work, Lengauer enjoys hunting and fishing, and spending time with her friends and family.

The Heart of Shenango Committee is made up of faculty and staff of the Shenango campus. The scholarship is a four-year, full-tuition award, which is funded by Shenango campus faculty and staff donations.

In addition to meeting the specific criteria of this award, Lengauer has agreed to be an ambassador for the Shenango campus throughout her four years of study.

“Amy is such a sweet girl,” stated Renee Neil, a member of the Heart of Shenango Committee. “We are thrilled with our choice and are very confident that through her self-reliance and determination to succeed, she will represent our campus in the most positive light. We wish her all the best and are excited to watch her grow and mature during her time here at Shenango.”
