Engineering students offer real-world solutions at design showcase

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Engineering students from the senior capstone design courses presented their work Dec. 13 during the annual showcase in the South Annex Gym at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Students presented solutions to real-world engineering problems and design challenges. Among the projects were a 3-D printing machine, a more fuel-efficient electric vehicle and a roller coaster restraint system for amputees. Industry clients such as ArcelorMittal, The Boeing Co. and Dresser-Rand sponsored projects.
